Fantasy/Sci-Fi Festival Testimonial – May 15 2020

I was really scared to watch the feedback but found the experience very rewarding and elucidating. It’s rare that an emerging filmmaker gets to hear back from an audience in such a raw way. It was interesting to hear people’s perspectives on the film, which seemed quite varied. I loved the woman who said it made her think about whether it might be better to live 80 minutes rather than 80 years if you were happy. I also laughed when one audience member said they thought the central characters were cousins. Maybe I compromised clarity for the sake of suspense a little too much.

Thank you so much for your input. It was right on. I loved it. It was just what I needed in order to improve the structure of the plot. I will work on it starting with your notes. I can actually visualize the difference already. I look forward to resubmitting and participating in your contest with a future draft. I just can’t thank you enough for you encouragement.
