Wade Savage’s short film BARROW was the winner of BEST FILM at the October 2016 Action/Crime Film Festival.
It was a pleasure to interview him about his film and what’s next:
Matthew Toffolo: What motivated you to make this film?
Wade K. Savage: My writing and producing partner Pete Gurbiel and I wanted to make another film together, and I originally had this far out idea about time travel and this girl dealing with a past trauma. I really love ‘Silence of The Lambs’ so I wanted to have a Clarice Starling type character as our lead. Luckily, Pete is way more sensible than I am and we ended up where we are, with this beautiful film that explores some deeper themes, but is also visually really engaging.
MT: From the idea to the finished product, how long did it take for you to make this film?
