In the near future the DMV has a clutch on the world. New legislation makes it so that licenses expire constantly and with an expired license you are seen as less than human. Adam is just trying his best to get his license updated before his expiration date. When Adam enters the DMV he witnesses the horrors of the DMV firsthand and is pushed from robot to robot on his journey to renew his license.
