Professor Daniel Wexler, a brilliant but self-absorbed quantum physicist, is recruited into Nexos, a hidden crossroads between parallel branches of reality, after his research into many-worlds theory draws him into the discovery of Astral Flux, a rare force that can shape matter, energy, and even passage between worlds. Under the guidance of the powerful Quartermaster Felgryn, Daniel begins training alongside fellow physicist Edward, only to discover that the multiverse is under threat from Muldragon, Felgryn’s former student, who believes weakened branches of reality must be destroyed so stronger ones can survive. When Muldragon attacks Daniel’s home branch, Earth, Daniel chooses to remain in the fight rather than return to his old life.
