It’s a very visual story, the main character has psychological flaws that everyone can identify with and it has an uplifting resolution.

What motivated you to write this screenplay?

I was getting bored at a film festival and wondered what kind of film I would find rewarding in that context. I’d also had a dream about being chased by a dog.

What obstacles did you face to finish this screenplay?

None really. I did a first draft in one sitting and every time I got feedback I would either re-evaluate or rewrite.

Apart from writing, what else are you passionate about?

Filmmaking; I’m a director as well.

Any advice or tips you’d like to pass on to other writers?

Keep writing, get feedback. Rewrite. Enter competitions.
